FOREST LIFE
By Alexander Vloeberghs

Koalas like to fight
For their food at night
And will even snap and bite
The long slithery snake
Wanted to eat rat cake

Before the sun would break
Green frogs croak

As the morning awoke
Welcoming the forest folk
The possums run to hide
When the hawks start to glide
From the mountain side

As the butterflies fly
In the bright blue sky
They spot the flowers nearby

Ants run along vines
Like lots of little lines
With food on their minds

A lizard who likes to lie
on the hot rock will die
When a bird flies by

The birds and the bees
Love living in trees
in the green canopies

Forest creatures beg on their knees
Please don't chop down the trees
Or we will become just memories
